The final speaker, Thai architect and professor
Boonserm Premthada of Bangkok Project Studio,
presented under the topic of ‘Sound Bricks,’ inspired
by an interest in the role that ‘sound’ plays in architectural
practice – a kind of unheeded, intangible detail.
Professor Boonserm provided listeners with various
sound experiences that are generated by works of
architecture themselves through many case studies
such as the Kantana Institute Wat Sri Chum. Professor
Boonserm has experimented with the procreation of
sounds in architecture and developed a prototype that
can be further developed into a whole new practice of
architecture - the transformation of abstract ideas into
concrete objects.
