Laccases (EC 1.10.3.2, benzenediol:oxygen oxidoreductase) tilhører en<br />

familie <s<strong>tr</strong>ong>af</s<strong>tr</strong>ong> multi-kobber enzymer, <s<strong>tr</strong>ong>og</s<strong>tr</strong>ong> katalyserer den overordnede reaktion<br />

4 benzenediol+O 2 ↔4 benzosemiquinone+2H 2 O. Laccase findes i alle under-<br />

søgte <s<strong>tr</strong>ong>hvidmuld</s<strong>tr</strong>ong> svampe. Det bedst karakteriserede laccase enzym er fra<br />

T. versicolar <s<strong>tr</strong>ong>og</s<strong>tr</strong>ong> enzymet spiller en rolle i pigment dannelse i sporer, detoxi-<br />

fikation <s<strong>tr</strong>ong>af</s<strong>tr</strong>ong> phenoler <s<strong>tr</strong>ong>og</s<strong>tr</strong>ong> virker i synergi med peroxidaser <s<strong>tr</strong>ong>og</s<strong>tr</strong>ong> andre lignin ned-<br />

brydende enzymer [Wong D.W.S. (2009)].<br />

Laccase fra svampe findes som monomerer <s<strong>tr</strong>ong>og</s<strong>tr</strong>ong> dimerer, med både in<strong>tr</strong>a-<br />

cellulære <s<strong>tr</strong>ong>og</s<strong>tr</strong>ong> ex<strong>tr</strong>acellulære isozymer produceret <s<strong>tr</strong>ong>af</s<strong>tr</strong>ong> samme organisme. Det<br />

monomere enzym har en molekylevægt i området 50 - 110 kDa <s<strong>tr</strong>ong>og</s<strong>tr</strong>ong> består <s<strong>tr</strong>ong>af</s<strong>tr</strong>ong> 3<br />

domæner med udpræget β-tønde s<strong>tr</strong>uktur (fig. 36).<br />
