effektiven Verbrennungsmotor, der die Batterie bei<br />
Bedarf nachlädt und Elektrofahrzeuge auf eine reichweite<br />
von ca. 600 km bringt.<br />
sozusagen eine mischung eines hybrid und Elektrofahrzeuges<br />
sind die „Plug-in-hybride“. diese fahrzeuge<br />
können sowohl strecken von ca. 20 km rein<br />
elektrisch fahren und haben zusätzlich einen Verbrennungsmotor<br />
an Bord für normalen fahrbetrieb.<br />
das heißt, in verkehrsberuhigten gegenden fährt<br />
man elektrisch, außerorts hingegen mit dem<br />
bekannten Benzinmotor. ganz ohne Emissionen zu<br />
fahren schaffen fahrzeuge mit einer Brennstoffzelle.<br />
hier wird z. B. wasserstoff getankt, der in der Brennstoffzelle<br />
zu elektrischem strom umgewandelt wird<br />
und einen Elektromotor antreibt. aus dem „auspuff“<br />
eines Brennstoffzellenfahrzeugs entweicht lediglich<br />
noch wasserdampf. das besondere an all diesen Konzepten<br />
ist, dass immer speicherbatterien benötigt<br />
werden, deren Energie über odu Batteriesteckverbinder<br />
an die weiteren aggregate und geräte verteilt<br />
werden kann. somit eröffnet sich ein breites und<br />
äußerst interessantes anwendungsgebiet für unsere<br />
hV steckverbinder.<br />
die weiterentwicklung der verschiedenen Konzepte<br />
werden wir daher permanent begleiten und dafür<br />
sorgen, dass unsere Kunden auch in zukunft innovative<br />
lösungen von odu zu wirtschaftlichen Konditionen<br />

odu automotive is developing connection systems for a new technological era in the automotive industry.<br />

the “plug-in hybrids” can be seen as a cross between<br />
a hybrid and an electric vehicle. these vehicles<br />
can cover distances of around 20 km using only the<br />
electric drive, and additionally have a combustion engine<br />
on board for normal driving. this means that in<br />
reduced traffic areas, the vehicle is driven electrically,<br />
but once the city limits have been left behind, the familiar<br />
gasoline engine comes into play.<br />
vehicles with a fuel cell manage to drive without any<br />
emissions whatsoever. for example, hydrogen can be<br />
used as the fuel that is converted into electrical energy<br />
in the fuel cell for powering an electric motor. water<br />
vapor is the only exhaust emitted by a fuel cell<br />
vehicle. the special feature of all of these concepts is<br />
that storage batteries are always needed; their energy<br />
can be distributed to the other machines and devices<br />
via odu battery connectors. this opens up a<br />
broad and extremely interesting application area for<br />
our hv connectors.<br />
we will therefore always be involved in further development<br />
of the various concepts and will ensure that<br />
our customers obtain innovative solutions from odu<br />
under economical conditions, whether today or in<br />
the future.<br />
