Connecting the user modules<br />
Installation Guide<br />
The user modules are connected to the matrix switch <strong>CATCenter</strong> NEO8 using a<br />
category 5 (or better) twisted pair cable.<br />
The recommended K-C7/LD-x cable enables the distance between the CATpro2<br />
target module and the user module to be up to 300 metres (UCON-a: up to 100<br />
metres). When other cables are used, the length depends on the quality of the applied<br />
cable.<br />

How to connect the user module UCON to the matrix switch:<br />
Insert one end of the category 5 (or better) twisted pair cable into the<br />
Transmission port of the user module.<br />
Connect the other end of the twisted pair cable to any of the 4 Console ports of<br />
the matrix switch <strong>CATCenter</strong> <strong>NEO4</strong>.<br />

Connect the monitor to the Monitor interface of the user module.<br />
Connect keyboard and mouse to the user module.<br />
Tip: Both input devices can be connected to the respective PS/2 or USB port.<br />
A mixed connection (e. g. PS/2 mouse and USB keyboard) is possible.<br />
Optional: If the additional TS Function has been purchased, connect the supplied<br />
LED to the LED out interface.<br />
Place this LED close to the monitor connected to this user module.<br />
