Critical places are the upper bed sliding surfaces(3), the<br />
thread part on the transmission/starting shaft(18), the<br />
spindles(6, 16), all sliding surfaces and pins of the<br />
slidings(7, 16), the bottom plate tail stock (19).<br />
Remove chips with a cloth or a brush. Do not use<br />
compressed air, with this you press the chips only<br />
farther in the angles. Regularly dismantle chips<br />
bulldozers and brush clean the felt. This normal<br />
maintenance of the machine can be done by the user<br />
himself. If the subjoined schedule is handled for this,<br />
making a mistake or forgetting something is excluded.<br />
The machine need not be dismantled. All oiling points<br />
are easily attainable. In certain cases it may be advisable<br />
still dismantling the parts of the machine, for example if<br />
many fine chips have landed on the chisel and cross slide<br />
at a certain slide position. In that case the best you can do<br />
is separating the concerning part entirely, cleaning the<br />
parts, oiling the parts and putting it together again.<br />
However the part will have to be adjusted again.<br />
TROUBLESHOOTING<br />
At troubleshooting you have to watch first if the lathe is<br />
in a good condition of maintenance. If it is and you cannot<br />
find a demonstrable reason for the troubleshooting,<br />
then get in touch with your Ferm dealer.<br />

If you would like to ask something about the lathe or<br />

Ferm dealer. This also applies for repeated orders of<br />
spare parts and/or accessories.<br />

deliverable from stock.<br />
