Die Eigenschaften
Edelstahl Rostfrei hat viele Vorteile,
wie zum einen seinen Widerstand
gegenüber Korrosion in aggressiven
Umgebungen und zum anderen gegenüber
extremen Temperaturen und stoßartigen
Beanspruchungen. Exakt zulegierte
Elemente machen es möglich, Sorten
entsprechend der vorgegebenen
Anforderungen herzustellen. Durch
Variation dieser Legierungselemente und
deren relative Anteile bilden die
verschiedenen Stahlsorten eine Materialfülle,
die auf ein weites Feld potentieller
Anforderungsprofile reagieren kann.
Die Wahl der Sorte richtet sich nach
den Umgebungsbedingungen, in dem sich
das Bauteil befindet und vor denen
es geschützt werden muss (industriell,
maritim, chemische Industrie, Stahl
in lebensmittelgerechten Anwendungen,
etc.). Am besten wird diese exakte
Auswahl dem Spezialisten überlassen.
Edelstahl ist nicht nur ein Material,
das aufgrund seiner Korrosionsbeständigkeit
in hoch aggressiven Medien interessant ist.
Seine Festigkeit von 550 bis 1400 N/mm 2 ,
seine Streckgrenze von 220 bis
1100 N/mm 2 und darüber hinaus ein
extrem günstiges Verhältnis von E-Modul
zu Dichte, d.h. dieses Material kombiniert
Steifigkeit mit geringem Gewicht.
Dies macht es zu einem idealen
Werkstoff für Fußgängerbrücken und
Konstruktionen in Erdbebengebieten.
Es ist verglichen mit Kohlenstoffstahl
beständiger gegenüber hohen
Temperaturen.
Edelstahl wird neuerdings auch wegen
weiteren Vorzügen geschätzt: Neutralität
in Bezug auf seine Umgebung,
Feuerwiderstand, hohe mechanische
Eigenschaften, Festigkeit und Duktilität
bei sehr niedrigen Temperaturen,
Verarbeitbarkeit (Stanzen, Biegen,
Hydroformen, Schweißen, Löten, etc.),
Dauerhaftigkeit, Recyclebarkeit
und Ästhetik.
Edelstahl Rostfrei / Stainless steel
Properties
Stainless steel has many qualities,
such as its ability to resist corrosion in
aggressive environments, extreme
temperatures, absorb impacts, etc.
The elements used in an alloy make it
possible to direct the choice of grade as
according to the potential type of
aggression. By the set of these additions
and their relative proportions, the various
grades of stainless steel constitute
a family of materials likely to answer
a broad variety of potential requests.
The choice of grade suited to the
environment in which the element to be
protected is found (industrial, maritime,
chemical industry, food quality stainless
steel, etc.), is best left to specialists.
Stainless steel is not only a material
that is interesting for its resistance
to corrosion in highly aggressive
environments. Its mechanical strength
of 550 to 1400 MPa, its yield
stress of 220 to 1100 MPa,
and above all the extremely favourable
ratio of its Young’s modulus of elasticity
to density, mean this material combines
stiffness with light weight, making it an
ideal material for structures like
footbridges and constructions in seismic
zones. It also has better resistance than
carbon steels to high temperatures.
Stainless steel is also beginning to be
appreciated for its other qualities:
neutral with regard to its environment,
fire resistance, high mechanical properties,
strength and ductility at very low
temperatures, application capabilities
(stamping, folding, hydroforming, welding,
soldering, etc.), durability, recyclability,
and aesthetics.
In its raw state, stainless steel has
an even appearance, slightly shiny
and silvery. Stainless steel can also be
polished and coloured in a multitude of
ways and given a wide variety of surface
finishes. Sheets and bars manufactured
in the mill can be given a finish on the
