◗ Wie Stahl im Allgemeinen ist Edelstahl
Rostfrei im Hinblick auf die Montage von
Tragwerken ein besonders geeigneter
Baustoff. Zusätzlich zu seinen mechanischen
Eigenschaften und seiner Duktilität bietet
sein ausgezeichneter Korrosionswiderstand
auch im Freien stehenden Tragwerken
einen natürlichen Schutz vor
Witterungseinflüssen. Die optische
Qualität von Edelstahl erlaubt bei
sichtbarer Tragkonstruktion zugleich
interessante architektonische Effekte.
Für Schweißprofile werden meistens
austenitische Edelstähle und Duplexstähle
verwendet. Austenite kombinieren
Korrosionswiderstand mit guten
Verformungs- und Fertigungseigenschaften.
Duplexstahl hat eine hohe mechanische
Festigkeit, gute Verschleißeigenschaften
sowie hohen Widerstand gegenüber
Spannungsrisskorrosion.
Durch das Verschweißen von
zugeschnittenem Edelstahl-Flachmaterial
können alle Trägerformen, Pfosten und
Hohlprofile oder andere Konstruktionselemente
hergestellt werden. ◗
◗ Like any steel, stainless steel is
particularly suitable to erecting structures.
In addition to its mechanical properties
and ductility, its excellent resistance to
corrosion provides natural protection to
structures exposed to the elements. The
visual quality of stainless steel also allows
for interesting architectural effects when
the structures are visible.
The most frequently used families of
stainless steel in welded structural
sections are austenitic stainless steel and
duplex stainless steel. Austenitic stainless
steels combine corrosion resistance with
a high capacity for forming and fabrication.
Duplex stainless steels have high
mechanical strength and resistance to
wear and stress corrosion cracking.
By welding pre-cut stainless steel flats,
all manner of forms of beams, posts, tubes
or other structural elements can be
manufactured. ◗
