50.000 Hörern wohl größte<br />
Trance-Webradio weltweit,<br />
startete vor sechs Jahren zunächst<br />
als Hobby. Denn Gründer Ari<br />
Shohat war es leid, dass der<br />
US-amerikanische Markt Trance<br />
gegenüber eine horrendende<br />
Ignoranz zeigte, obwohl durchaus<br />
Leute nach (Psy)Trance hungerten.<br />
Doch DI ist nicht nur ein reines<br />
»Zuhör-Webradio« – zu jedem<br />
Track, zu jedem Mix gibt es einen<br />
eigenen Thread im Forum, wo<br />
man seine Meinung reinschreiben<br />
oder abstimmen kann. Bei Mixes<br />
und Live-Sets werden die Threads<br />
schnell zu einer Art Chat, man<br />
tauscht sich aus, lernt sich weltweit<br />
kennen.<br />
Die User vom Goa-Psy-Channel<br />
verstehen sich mittlerweile als richtige<br />
»Psy-Family«. Und, ach ja, es<br />

more. There are 15 streams dedica-<br />
ted to all types of electronic music.<br />
Arriving at 40,000 to 50,000 listeners<br />
a day, DI is likely to be the largest<br />
trance internet radio station in<br />
the world. DI started six years ago<br />
for fun when founder Ari Shohat<br />
was frustrated by the horrendous<br />
ignorance in the US market about<br />
trance music. DI isn‘t a station to<br />
just listen to, as each track, mix<br />
and live set has its own forum<br />
thread connecting people<br />
from all over the world that<br />
talk about trance in there.<br />
Users of the GoaPsy<br />
channel are some sort of<br />
virtual psy family, contacts<br />
are<br />
made and<br />
maintained<br />
across the<br />
