EN8.7 Allocation of the Softkey FunctionOn the front side of DMA 35 are two softkeys. When the instrument displays the mainscreen, the left softkey always takes you to the main menu. The right softkey can beallocated with one out of three predefined functions. The allocated function is onlyavailable in the main screen.The functions available are "RFID 2 ", "Store" and "Print".RFIDStorePrintEnables programming and reading of RFID tags for the purposeof quick sample identification. The method or sample IDallocated to the tag will automatically be used for the followingmeasurements.Provides the same functionality as the key on the back ofthe instrument and starts and stores a measurement.Enables immediate print-out of the measured value using theIrDA interface.1. Press and select "Setup > Softkey".2. Select the preferred setting (RFID, Store, Print) and press .8.8 Password ProtectionYou can protect your instrument with a password according to your demands. If thepassword protection is enabled, the password needs to be entered before changingthe settings, before performing an adjustment and before selecting a measuring unit.For performing measurements as well as entering, changing or deleting measuringmethods or sample IDs no password entry is required.You can anytime change the password later on or disable password protectionentirely.To set a password1. Press and select "Setup > Set Password".2. Enter the first number of your password using the arrow keys and press .3.
