The ADP aims to support thedevelopment of the nation’s associationsand their potential for hosting internationalconventions in Malaysia. MyCEB’s industrypartners are entitled to a wide range of strategicinitiatives put together by the Bureau.ADP Programme InitiativesThe Association Management Seminars area series of education platforms that providetraining on how to establish an association.Other areas are also covered with topicsincluding governance and leadership,member recruitment and retention as wellas association operations and financesstructure. Targeted at association secretariatsand appointed association officials, the seminarsare facilitated by MyCEB and featureinternational and local experts as speakers.Apart from managing an association, theADP also includes Conference PlanningSeminars. These seminars cover a broadrange of topics relating to conference planningand management such as sponsorship,event promotion, delegate boosting andfinancial management. Last year, MyCEBcommenced with the early stages of theConference Planning Seminars to provideadvice and support to associations and corporationsseeking to stage national, regionaland international conventions.The final element of the ADP ProgrammeInitiatives is International Engagement.This component aims to provide supportto associations prepared to bid for internationalevents for the country. ThroughInternational Engagement, MyCEB providesfinancial and non-financial support tonational associations who seek to increaseengagement with their affiliated internationalassociation. As the level of supportvaries according to the international standingof the associations, supported activitiesmay include international committeeparticipation costs, speaker engagementsat international conventions or co-hostinginternational speakers at national or regionalassociation conventions being hostedin Malaysia.Bidding forInternational ConferencesThe goals of the programme are clear forMyCEB’s ADP: to support the growth anddevelopment of Malaysia’s national associations,to strengthen the engagement ofMalaysia’s national associations with theirinternational counterparts and to encourageFosteringgrowth fornationalassociationsand support national associations biddingfor and hosting international conventions.Under the ADP, MyCEB provides a rangeof financial and non-financial support servicesto national associations interested inbidding for an international convention. Thesupport includes assistance with the facilitationof the bid process, bid documents, siteinspections and bid presentations.MyCEB’s Association Dialogue has enabledMalaysia’s national associations to becomemore involved in strengthening the internationalengagement and professionalism ofassociations.
