and sales support for the ParkerVision<br />
PV5870 demodulator/modulator.<br />
The PV5870 is<br />
a direct conversion quadrature<br />
demodulator/modulator designed<br />
for communication systems<br />
requiring excellent linearity<br />
with the lowest possible power<br />
consumption. Drawing only<br />
23 mA from a 3 V supply, the<br />
PV5870 consumes 1/5 th to 1/<strong>10</strong> th<br />
the power of similar demodulators<br />
yet provides superior noise<br />
figure performance (a 6 dB<br />
improvement over the nearest<br />
competitor).<br />
As a demodulator operating from<br />
400 to 3600 MHz, the PV5870<br />
offers excellent amplitude and<br />
phase balance and very low DC<br />
offset. Intermodulation products<br />
IM2 and IM3 can be optimized<br />
through adjustment. RF, LO and<br />
baseband interfaces are fully<br />
differential. The baseband outputs<br />
of the device can interface<br />
directly to baseband amplifiers<br />
or low-pass filters. The Parker-<br />
Vision PV5870 is offered in a<br />
4 x 4 mm QFN package and is<br />
