Aufbau von Kandidatinnen für
die lokalen und nationalen
Wahlen 2014 und 2015 auszutauschen.
Mit 51 Prozent
Bevölkerungsmehrheit stellen
Frauen in Tansania ein großes
Wählerpotenzial.

and methods for supporting
female candidates in local and
national elections in 2014 and
2015. At 51 percent of the
population, women make up
the majority of potential voters
in Tanzania.
At the same time, these meetings offered
an opportunity to discuss the often difficult
situation of women in the various
countries. Visitors often asked about the
DF’s projects involving immigrants to
Germany and expressed their wish for
bilateral contact with the DF.
The visits were organized by the Konrad
Adenauer Foundation, the German Foreign
Office/Inpolis, the European Academy for
Women in Politics and Business (EAF), the
Deutsche Gesellschaft für internationale
Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) and the
Sparkassenstiftung für Internationale
Kooperationen as well as the embassies of
the respective countries.
Eine außergewöhnliche Einladung
Mit rund 250 Männern und Frauen gut besucht war die Veranstaltung »Erfolgreiche
Frauen: Ein Dialog zwischen Indien, Frankreich und Deutschland«, an der der Deutsche
Frauenrat Ende Oktober in der deutschen Botschaft in Neu-Delhi teilnahm. Ziel
war es, sowohl Errungenschaften als auch Schwierigkeiten bei der Durchsetzung von
Frauenrechten in den drei Ländern zu diskutieren. Die Veranstaltung wurde in Kooperation
mit der Französischen Botschaft, dem Französischen Institut in Indien, der
Buchhandlung Zubaan Books und dem Indischen Internationalen Zentrum durchgeführt.

Exceptional invitation
Around 250 women and men attended
the event “Winning Women: A dialogue
between India, France and Germany”
held in late October at the German
embassy in New-Delhi, with the participation
of the Deutscher Frauenrat. The
agenda included both the achievements
and the challenges in implementing
women’s rights in the three countries.
The event was held in cooperation with
the French embassy, the Institut
Français in India, Zubaan Books and the
Indian International Centre. The DF was
represented on the podium by board
member Brigitte Triems (2nd from right).
