Islam needs a global
renaissance
The conservative Islam scholar Yoha C. Stajuf
(Secretary General of the world's largest Islamic
society) stated in an interview with the Frankfurter
Allgemeine Zeitung that Western politicians should
stop claiming that extremism and terrorism have
nothing to do with Islam. This means that orthodox
Islam is incompatible with the German
and Western national states. Orthodox
Islam is also opposed to dissenters,
non-believers and even Islam-believers
and makes peaceful coexistence in
multi-religious societies of the 21st
century impossible. The cultural psychologist
and author Jan llhan Kızılhan
considers this thesis to be correct and said to the
BILD newspaper: »The ISIS killings are nothing
new. Jews, Yazidis and Christians have always
had to pay head money in Islam. Whoever is found
out as an unbeliever has no rights and no right to
live. Terror is based on this tradition.« Even the
psychologist Ahmad Mansour is sure that terror is
definitively connected with the way in which faith
is lived and interpreted in many societies. To BILD
he said: »Contempt for other believers, concentration
on the hereafter and contempt for the here and
now, the sacrificial role and Islamic claim to truth
make it easy for the radicals. ISIS did not invent it
all!« Prof. Dr Harry Harun Behr, Islamic professor
at the University of Frankfurt/Main, said to BILD:
»No question, we need an Islamic theology that is
open to criticism. Islam must face up to the terror.«
When talking about this topic we cannot forget that
Islam worships Jesus as a holy prophet – and he
preaches charity towards others. Believers should
always have this thought in mind.

für richtig und sagte zu der BILD-Zeitung: »Das Morden

mussten im Islam schon immer Kopfgeld zahlen. Wer
als Ungläubiger ausgemacht wird, ist rechtlos und hat
kein Recht zu leben. Aus dieser Tradition fußt der Terror.«
Auch der Psychologe Ahmad Mansour ist sich sicher,
dass der Terror definitiv mit der Art und Weise zusammenhänge,
wie Glaube in vielen Gesellschaften gelebt
und ausgelegt werde. Zu der BILD sagte er: »Die Verachtung
für Andersgläubige, die Konzentration auf das
Jenseits und die Verachtung des Diesseits, die Opferrolle
sowie der Wahrheitsanspruch im Islam machen es den
Radikalen so einfach. Die ISIS hat das alles nicht erfunden!«
Prof. Dr. Harry Harun Behr, Islamprofessor an der
Universität Frankfurt/Main, zu der BILD: »Keine Frage,
wir brauchen eine kritikfähige islamische Theologie. Der
Islam muss sich dem Terror stellen.« Denn bei dem ganzen
Thema dürfen wir nicht vergessen, dass der Islam
Jesus als heiligen Propheten verehrt und dieser predigte
Nächstenliebe. Und diesen Gedanken sollten sich die
Gläubigen immer wieder ins Gedächtnis rufen.

el Islam ortodoxo es incompatible con los Estadosnación
alemán y occidentales. El Islam ortodoxo se
opone a personas de otras creencias, no creyentes,
civiles e incluso a creyentes en el Islam, lo cual hace
imposible la convivencia pacífica en las sociedades
plurirreligiosas del siglo XXI. El psicólogo y escritor Jan
llhan Kızılhan considera correcta esta tesis y explica al
periódico alemán BILD: «Los asesinatos del ISIS no son
nada nuevo. Judíos, yazidíes y cristianos siempre han
pagado con vidas humanas al Islam». Quienes son
considerados infieles, están privados de derechos y,
por tanto, no tienen derecho a la vida. El terrorismo se
funda en esta tradición. También el psicólogo Ahmad
Mansour está seguro de que el terrorismo está relacionado
definitivamente con el modo en que la fe se vive y
se exhibe en muchas sociedades. Realizó las siguientes
declaraciones al BILD: «Son el desprecio por personas
con otras creencias, la concentración en el más allá y el
desprecio por este mundo, el papel de víctima y la pretensión
de estar en posesión de la verdad lo que se lo
pone tan fácil a los radicales. ¡Todo eso no lo ha inventado
el ISIS!». El Prof. Dr. Harry Harun Behr, Catedrático
de Estudios Islámicos de la Universidad de Fráncfort del
Meno, contaba al BILD: «No cabe duda, necesitamos
una teología islámica con capacidad de crítica. El Islam
tiene que enfrentarse al terrorismo». Y es que en todo
este asunto no debemos olvidar que el Islam honra
a Jesús como profeta sagrado, y que este predicaba
el amor al prójimo, un pensamiento que los creyentes
deberían recordar una y otra vez.

Ms. Stegmann, you have created an exclusive dating
agency, which helps discerning singles from all age
groups. What criteria play a role in the selection process,
and what is the top priority for you?
Top priority for me is direct personal contact with the
applicant, that is, our first-class service. In order to
find the right partner for my clients, I simply need to
know how they »tick« and what is particularly important
to them, especially with regard to values, education
and a homogeneous and social background.
Needs and wishes are also important information
used to refine the search. After a non-binding personal
interview, the customer receives a questionnaire
that I use to find out important additional details that
might not have come up during the first in-person
conversation due to nervousness or other reasons.
Before I decide to support someone in their search,
the basic requirements need to be met, such as
empathy and trust in me and my dating agency, but
also a serious interest in a partnership.

UN PELIGROSO CÓCTEL
Alkohol am Steuer ist eine Gefahr
Que el alcohol al volante es un peligroso
cóctel, no es ninguna novedad hoy en día. Tampoco
quiero escribir en mi artículo mensual en esta
revista sobre las consecuencias morales o sanitarias,
sino más bien recordar al lector que en España
en estos casos nos encontramos ante una conducta
criminal de acuerdo con el artículo 379.2 del código
penal español. Ya he escrito en el pasado mucho y
ampliamente sobre este tema, pero lamentablemente
lo olvidan mis clientes, siempre en mitad de la
noche. Podrán imaginarse ustedes lo agradable que
es cuando a las dos o tres de la mañana me despierto
por el timbre de mi teléfono móvil. Por regla
general oigo al otro lado de la línea a un agente de
policía o guardia civil, dado que el cliente en ese
momento ya no entiende nada y solamente piensa
en la posibilidad de pasar el resto de la noche en
una celda de la comisaría de policía, donde dormirá
bastante mal. A partir de ese momento yo tampoco
duermo mejor que él y además tengo que comprobar
que por suerte alguno de mis clientes ha sido
detenido por conducir notablemente afectado por el
alcohol. Lo cierto es que podía haber sido peor, igualmente
podía haber fallecido en un accidente ocurrido
como consecuencia del alcohol o haber matado
en un accidente a un buen padre de familia que se
interpusiera en su camino. Entrando en el tema la
pregunta que se me ocurre es que se puede beber
en España, si después se quiere conducir. Las cifras
de alcohol permitidas en España son las siguientes:

Ich möchte in meiner Rubrik in diesem Magazin
auch nicht über moralische oder gesundheitliche
Konsequenzen schreiben, sondern die Leser daran
erinnern, dass man in Spanien in einem solchen
Fall den Tatbestand einer strafbaren Handlung
gemäß Artikel 379.2 des spanischen Strafgesetzbuchs
erfüllen kann. Ich habe zwar über dieses
Thema in der Vergangenheit viel und umfangreich
geschrieben, aber leider vergessen es meine Mandanten
immer dann, wenn es darauf ankommt: mitten
in der Nacht. Sie können sich vorstellen, wie
angenehm es ist, um zwei oder drei Uhr morgens
vom Klingeln des Telefons geweckt zu werden. In
der Regel habe ich dann einen Polizeibeamten in
der Leitung, da der Mandant nichts mehr versteht
und sowieso nur daran denkt, dass er möglicherweise
den Rest der Nacht in einer Zelle auf der
Polizeiwache verbringen muss und sehr schlecht
schlafen wird. Ich schlafe jetzt auch nicht viel besser
und durfte dabei mit verhaltener Zufriedenheit
feststellen, dass mein Mandant lediglich wegen
Trunkenheit am Steuer verhaftet wurde. Er hätte
dieses absolut vermeidbare Risiko im schlimmsten
Fall mit seinem Leben oder und mit dem Leben
von Drittpersonen bezahlen können. Kommen wir
zum Thema: Wie viel darf man in Spanien trinken,
wenn man später noch fahren möchte? Die Alkoholgrenzwerte
in Spanien sind folgende: Fahrer von
Kraftfahrzeugen, die einen Führerschein länger als
zwei Jahre besitzen, sowie Fahrradfahrer dürfen
einen Blutalkoholgrenzwert von 0,5 g/l und einen

0,25 mg/L de alcohol aspirado. Los conductores de
camiones, taxis, autobuses, ambulancias, así como
los de vehículos que dispongan del permiso de
conducir desde hace menos de dos años, no deben
superar los 0,3 g/L de alcohol en sangre y 0,15
mg/L. Si sobrepasan los valores mencionados y les
cogen, en todo caso habrá una sanción de tráfico,
pero puede que también se haya podido cometer un
delito. Antes de que entrase en vigor el 1 de julio de
2015 la última reforma del código penal, se encontraba
en el hecho delictivo únicamente el conductor
que sobrepasará los 0,6 mg/L de aire aspirado y los
1,2 g/L en sangre. Desde julio de 2015 se aplica una
legislación mucho más severa. Se comete el hecho
delictivo cuando se sobrepasan los 0,5 g/L de alcohol
en sangre y 0,25 mg/L de alcohol aspirado, y en
algunos casos, incluso sin llegar a estos valores. La
calificación como tipo delictivo no depende sólo de
los valores medidos, sino también de la apariencia
general del conductor en el momento de practicarle
las pruebas y del grado de irresponsabilidad con
el que estuviera conduciendo. La sanción de tráfico

hinaus kann ein strafrechtlicher Tatbestand erfüllt
werden. Vor der letzten Reform des Strafgesetzbuches,
die am 1. Juli 2015 in Kraft getreten ist, wurde
der strafrechtliche Tatbestand immer dann erfüllt,
wenn Luftwerte von mindestens 0,60 Promille oder
Blutwerte von 1,2 g/Liter gemessen wurden. Seit
dem 1. Juli 2015 hat sich die Gesetzgebung weiter
verschärft. Eine strafrechtliche Verfolgung erfolgt
nun schon bei Überschreitung der Grenzwerte von
0,5 g/l (Blutalkohol) beziehungsweise von 0,25 mg/l
(Luftmessung) und in manchen Fällen sogar, wenn
diese Grenzwerte nicht erreicht wurden. Das Strafmaß
hängt zum einen von den gemessenen Werten
ab, zum anderen von dem Eindruck, den der Fahrer

1.000, además de la pérdida de entre cuatro y seis
puntos del permiso de conducir. En España también
existe un registro de puntos de extranjeros, que no
son residentes en España. En casos especialmente
graves se puede perder el permiso de conducir. Esto
también es aplicable a extranjeros, puesto que se
les puede retirar la autorización para conducir dentro
del territorio español. Si el incidente se considera
un delito, la pena mínima de prisión asciende a un
año, aunque por regla general no se cumple cuando
no se tienen antecedentes penales. El permiso de
conducir también se retira por un mínimo de un año.
Además de lo anterior y dependiendo de la situación
económica del conductor se le impone una multa
de 1.000 . En los casos en los que el límite legal se
haya superado mínimamente, la fiscalía suele estar
dispuesta a negociar el tiempo de retirada de la
autorización para conducir, así como la duración de
la pena de prisión. Condición para ello es por supuesto
que el detenido se arrepienta de su conducta.
En todo caso el conductor detenido y condenado
tendrá antecedentes penales y en caso de nueva
conducta contenida entre los delitos contra la seguridad
del tráfico, perderá el permiso de circulación y
por regla general acabará en la cárcel. Quede claro
que no deseo a mis clientes, ni a mis lectores que
caigan en un control policial de alcoholemia, incluso
aunque se encuentran alcoholizados. Mucho mejor
sería para todos los intervinientes en el peligroso
arte de conducir, que se cumplieran las normas.
Entonces todos podríamos dormir tranquilos.

entzogen werden kann. Sollte es zu einem strafrechtlichen
Verfahren kommen, liegt die Mindesthaftstrafe

auf Bewährung ausgesprochen wird. Der Führerschein
wird ebenfalls für mindestens ein Jahr entzogen.
Darüber hinaus wird abhängig von der wirtschaftlichen
Situation des Fahrers, eine Geldstrafe
von mindestens 1000 Euro verhängt. Bei geringer
Überschreitung der Grenzwerte kann man mit der
Staatsanwaltschaft eine Verkürzung der Haftstrafe
und des Führerscheinentzugs verhandeln. Voraussetzung
dafür ist, dass der Beschuldigte Einsicht
für sein Fehlverhalten zeigt. In jedem Fall gilt der
Verurteilte nach Verhängung des Strafmaßes als
vorbestraft. Bei erneuter Zuwiderhandlung während
des Führerscheinentzugs landet man in der Regel
unwiderruflich im Gefängnis. Selbstverständlich
wünsche ich es meinen Mandanten und Lesern
nicht, dass sie alkoholisiert in eine Kontrolle geraten.
Besser für alle Beteiligten wäre es aber, sie
würden sich vorschriftsmäßig verhalten. Dann kann
ich in Ruhe schlafen und Sie auch!

focus on a significant reduction in side effects. A
number of focal therapy techniques which destroy
cancer cells directly are currently used for prostate
carcinoma. Cryotherapy (»freezing of the tissues«)
and HIFU (high-intensity focused ultrasound) use
thermal energy which destroys cancer cells directly.
Irreversible electroporation (IRE, also known as
the NanoKnife) uses electric pulses in the microsecond
to millisecond range in order to open pores in
the wall of the tumour cell, thereby
killing the cell immediately and
cause the tumour to shrink. The
electrical impulses are carried to
the tumour through probes (needles).
Since IRE is not a thermal
ablation procedure, thus neither
heat nor cold directly destroy the
tumour cells, there is minimal risk
of damage to surrounding structures
(urethra, nerves, blood vessels
etc.). IRE was used to treat
localised prostate cancer for the
first time by Onik and Rubinsky in
2007. Since then the effectiveness and safety of
this technique have been proved in numerous studies.
The procedure lasts about 45-90 minutes and
is carried out under general anaesthetic. It is only
necessary to stay in hospital for 2-3 days. There
is also very little pain following the procedure and
this recedes spontaneously within 4-5 days. The
patient is able to function normally after a week.
IRE has been carried out by Dr Erik Schulten in collaboration
with Prof Dr Ulf Tunn in the Ochoa Hospital,
Marbella and the CERAM Hospital, Marbella
since the beginning of 2017. The medic is a colleague
of Dr Erik Schulten, specialist in urology and
andrology, OTS Clinic Marbella.

zu schaffen, die zum sofortigen Tod der Zelle
führen und somit zum Schrumpfen des Tumors. Die
elektrischen Impulse werden durch
Sonden (»Nadeln«) an den Tumor
gebracht. Da die IRE ein nicht thermisches
Ablationsverfahren ist,
somit weder Hitze noch Kälte direkt
die Tumorzellen zerstört, besteht
kaum eine Gefahr der Schädigung
umliegender Strukturen (Harnröhre,
Nerven, Blutgefässe etc.). Im Jahr
2007 wurde die IRE erstmals von
Onik und Rubinsky zur Behandlung
von lokalisiertem Prostatakrebs
verwendet. Die Wirksamkeit und
Sicherheit der Technik wurde seither
in zahlreichen Studien nachgewiesen. Der Eingriff
dauert etwa 45-90 Minuten und wird in Vollnarkose
durchgeführt. Die stationäre Verweildauer liegt
bei nur 2-3 Tagen. Auch bestehen nach dem Eingriff
lediglich geringfügige Beschwerden, welche innerhalb
von 4-5 Tagen spontan sistieren. Nach einer
Woche ist der Patient wieder voll einsatzfähig.
Die IRE wird seit Anfang des Jahres 2017 von Dr.
med. Erik Schulten in Kooperation mit Prof. Dr. Ulf
Tunn im Krankenhaus Ochoa Marbella und im Krankenhaus
CERAM Marbella durchgeführt. Der Mediziner
ist ein Kollege von Dr. med. Erik Schulten,
Facharzt für Urologie und Andrologie, OTS Clinic
Marbella.

A PROBLEM THAT IS FREQUENTLY
OVERLOOKED

Many dogs and cats suffer from dental
plaque, tartar and gum disease. If dental plaque and
tartar are neglected, they can lead to gum inflammation
and periodontitis. If these inflammations
remain untreated, lesions of the tooth roots and
the alveolar bone may occur, followed by loss of the
tooth. Since dental plaques contain bacteria, these
germs can pass through the blood system into other
organs if the teeth are not treated, which can lead
to dangerous organ damage. Tartar is formed by the
calcification of dental plaque. This is caused by food
residue, bacteria, dead mucous membrane cells and
inflammatory cells (so-called leukocytes). If there is
a misalignment of the jaw, persisting milk teeth and
reduced chewing, the formation of dental plaque
is increased. Tartar is formed by dental plaque binding
to the minerals present in the saliva. It is true
that certain races are more susceptible than others,
for example, it is more common in smaller than in
larger breeds, but the teeth of all races and hybrid
breeds should be examined regularly. The symptoms
are easy to recognize. If you look at the teeth, you
can see a yellowish to brownish coating. In the initial
stage, the final upper molars are the first where
dental plaque and tartar become visible. However,
the coating spreads quickly to the remaining teeth.
Unfortunately, teeth are not checked often enough
and the first thing you may notice is a strong smell

Da Zahnbeläge Bakterien enthalten, können diese Keime
bei Nichtbehandlung der Zähne durch das Blutsystem in
andere Organe gelangen, was zu gefährlichen Organschäden
führen kann. Zahnstein bildet sich durch die Verkalkung
von Zahnbelag (sog. Plaque). Dieser entsteht durch
Futterreste, Bakterien, abgestorbenen Schleimhautzellen
und Entzündungszellen (sog. Leukozyten). Bei Gebissfehlstellungen,
persistierenden Milchzähnen und reduziertem
Kauen ist die Bildung von Zahnbelag erhöht. Durch die
Bindung an den Zahnbelag durch die im Speichel vorhandenen
Mineralien bildet sich Zahnstein. Es ist schon
richtig, dass gewisse Rassen anfälliger sind als andere,
z.B. trifft es kleinere Rassen häufiger als große, aber
trotzdem sollte man die Zähne aller Rassen und Mischlingsrassen
regelmäßig untersuchen. Die Symptome sind
leicht zu erkennen. Beobachtet man die Zähne, kann man
gelblichen bis bräunlichen Belag erkennen. Im Anfangsstadium
sind die hintersten Oberbackenzähne die ersten,
bei denen Zahnbelag und Zahnstein sichtbar sind. Diese
Beläge verbreiten sich aber schnell an den restlichen Zähnen.
Leider werden Zähne nicht häufig genug kontrolliert
und das Erste, was einem auffallen kann, ist ein starker
Geruch aus dem Maul. Dieser ist häufig ein Anzeichen

dogs and cats allow their teeth to be cleaned properly.
Other products such as gels, fizzy tablets in water
or chew sticks may be an alternative.

Methode, ist die Zahnsteinentfernung mittels Ultraschall.
Diese ist den Tierbesitzern meistens bekannt, da man die
gleiche Behandlung beim Zahnarzt durchführt.
Der Hauptunterschied liegt darin,
dass dieser Eingriff nur unter Vollnarkose
vollzogen werden kann. Deswegen ist es
sehr wichtig, erst auf die Narkosetauglichkeit
jedes einzelnen Tieres einzugehen.
Es kann durchaus vorkommen, dass
gewisse Tiere (v.a. ältere Patienten) nicht
narkosefähig sind oder das Narkoserisiko
zu hoch ist. In diesen Fällen sollte
man versuchen, die Bakterienproduktion
zu hemmen, was aber nicht vollständig
möglich ist. Wichtig zu erwähnen ist,
dass eine Zahnsteinentfernung mittels
Ultraschall zukünftige Beläge nicht vorbeugt.
Ähnlich wie beim Menschen wird
sich Zahnstein weiterhin bilden und die Zähne müssten
deswegen im Laufe des Lebens mehrmals gereinigt werden,
jedoch nicht häufiger als einmal jährlich. Ein wichtiger
Punkt bei der Zahngesundheit ist die Prophylaxe. Sie
kann den Zeitraum zwischen einer Zahnreinigung und
der nächsten verlängern. Das beste Mittel ist die tägliche
Zahnpflege mit einer weichen Zahnbürste und Tierzahnpaste.
Durch den mechanischen Effekt des Zähneputzens
und der Enzyme der Paste kann man die Produktion des
Zahnbelags deutlich reduzieren. Leider lassen sich aber
nicht alle Hunde und Katzen die Zähne richtig reinigen.
Andere Produkte wie Gele, Brausetabletten im Wasser
oder Kaustangen können eine Alternative sein.

huge success. Now it's time to think about
what autumn and winter have in store.
Arenal Beach Bar & Restaurant want to inform their
customers about their plans for autumn and winter.
In October, we will close on Mondays so that our
staff can rest but the rest of the week from Tuesday
to Sunday, we will be open and serving delicious
meals and drinks from 1 pm to 9.30 pm. Each Sunday
there's a special barbeque menu next to our à
la carte one where you'll also have the opportunity
to add grilled lobster to your order. Furthermore on
Sundays, one of our regular musicians will be here
to make your afternoon stay at Arenal Beach extra
special and memorable. The first-class service team
is waiting for you and guarantees an unforgettable
experience in Marbella. Please note that we will be
closed from November until January.

The luxury residential complex Alcazaba Lagoon in the city of Casares in Malaga has entered the second
phase of construction. The Chilean management company OSIM is continuing to expand its dream residential

BEACH POLO TARIFA 2017
For the fourth year in a row on Saturday the
16th and Sunday the 17th of September, the POLO
BEACH TARIFA tournament was held. It was the first
Polo Playa Andalucia Championship on Los Lances
Beach, organized by Isabel de Borbon (Polo4Ever).
The team of CREDIT SUISSE came off as the winner
after a well-adjusted match against the team of TRO-
CADERO. The other two big teams that participated
were SCAPA and the FISCHER CAR GALLERY / VON
POLL REAL ESTATE team. All the teams mentioned
before consisted of international polo players on
the same high level which allowed a very fast and
breathtaking game accompanied by ideal terrain and
wonderful weather conditions. The great support
and work of the city of Tarifa should also be honored
here. Each year, Tarifa shows a high commitment on

arranging the championship as well as the sponsors.
The polo cup was opened by the Mayor of Tarifa,
Francisco Ruiz Giráldez. The Portuguese polo player
Diego Gallego won the prize of the best player of the
tournament. During the two days of the event, the
attendees of the tournament were able to enjoy a
spectacle of great sports, accompanied by a relaxed
atmosphere. The after-polo party was celebrated in
the Chiringuito de CARBONES 13 with the best music
of Marbella's Top DJ's, LOLA Z and KIQUE GOLD.
Their music animated the people to have a magical
night. The event had an international audience which
consisted of polo fans and well-known spectators
from Sotogrande, Marbella and Tarifa.
