An Interview with Thomas Kiesele,<br />
President Aston Martin Europe<br />
Since the British luxury car with understatement and a sense for<br />
surprising extras became a movie hero in the 60s, the Aston Martin<br />
DB5 and its no less elegant successors have also been the ne<br />
plus ultra among the stylish GT classics for Thomas Kiesele. Since<br />
March 20<strong>19</strong>, after more than 30 years of sports car experience at<br />
other well-known brands, the automobile manager is now the new<br />
President of Aston Martin Europe.<br />
What role does James Bond still play today for the over 100-yearold<br />
brand Aston Martin?<br />
Still a very important role <strong>–</strong> for the brand and also for me personally.<br />
Aston Martin looks forward to a great future, because in addition<br />
to our traditional core segment of Gran Turismo vehicles, we<br />
are currently expanding our model range with the aim of opening<br />
up new market segments and target groups, and 007 has always<br />
been an important part of that.<br />
Which models shall inspire the drivers in the future?<br />
With the Volante, the convertible version of the DB11 we find<br />
numerous new Aston Martin enthusiasts. The Vantage is a true<br />
2-seater for drivers who want to experience a sporty driving experience<br />
beyond the dignified tradition. And for the first time in the<br />
history of the Aston Martin brand, there will be an SUV that<br />
is tailored to a new target group. The DBX will be much more<br />
spacious and therefore family-friendly, while offering the familiar<br />
Aston Martin comfort.<br />
There are a lot of new things to discover at Aston Martin. Where<br />
can you experience them live?<br />
There are several possibilities. To get to know the lifestyle of the<br />
brand with its comfort and elegant design, I recommend a visit to<br />
one of our dealers. In order to experience the sporty brand experience<br />
with the corresponding dynamics and performance potential<br />
under the hood of an Aston Martin, we have created the AMR<br />
