Im „Unverpackt“ Laden in Würzburg findet man auf kleinem
Raum das ganze Sortiment des täglichen Bedarfs: von
Nudeln, Reis, Getreide und Tee über Bruchschokolade bis hin
zu Seife, festem Shampoo und Spülmittel. Auch frisches Brot,
Milch, Käse, Obst und Gemüse gibt es hier.
Fast alle Produkte sind kontrolliert biologisch, fair gehandelt
und möglichst regional. Und das Wichtigste: plastikbefreit!
Man bringt zum Einkaufen einfach ein Gefäß von Zuhause
mit, z.B. eine Brotbüchse oder ein Vorratsglas, wiegt dieses bei
Betreten des Ladens und füllt dann die gewünschten Lebensoder
Putzmittel ab. Anschließend wird die Ware an der Kasse
gewogen, das Gewicht der Gefäße abgezogen und dann wird
bezahlt. Fertig! So einfach kann ein Einkauf sein, bei dem ihr
kein Gramm Plastik oder andere Verpackungen kauft.

In the “Unverpackt“ (unpackaged) shop in Wuerzburg, you can
find the entire range of daily needs in just a small space: from
pasta, rice, cereals and tea over broken chocolate to soap,
shampoo bars and dish soap. You are also able to find fresh
bread, milk, cheese, fruits and vegetables here.
Almost all products are controlled organic, fairly traded and as
regional as possible. And most importantly: plastic-free!
You simply bring a container from home with you, e.g., a
lunch box or a storage jar, weigh it when you enter the shop
and then fill it with the desired food or cleaning products.
The goods are then weighed at the checkout, the weight of
the containers gets deducted and then the products get paid.
That‘s it! It is so easy to go shopping without buying a single
gram of plastic or other packaging.
By the way: there are „Unverpackt“-shops in all major cities!
