TG Sports Innsbruck Sommer 2011

In January 2011, Michi Grohs and Stephan
Kaltschmid founded the Austria BIER-
PONG Club to offer a home to the constantly
growing beer pong scene.
The idea to take beer pong to Innsbruck
grew out of a ski instructor job in the USA.
The first tournament in Innsbruck was held
in summer 2009 and was the kick-off for a
whole series of tournaments in 2010, which
took place in many different pubs and became
increasingly popular. The idea to travel
to the WORLD SERIES OF BEER PONG
in Las Vegas was also born in 2010.
The game:
In a beer pong match, two teams with two
players each face each other over a longish
table. They have to try to throw ping
pong balls into the cup of the opposing
team at the other side of the table. In case
of a strike the cup is removed and emptied.
The winner is the team who first manages
to hit all cups of the opposing team.
