przez Górnośląskie Towarzystwo Lotnicze SA.<br />
Certyfikat przyznano na maksymalny okres<br />
ważności, tj. 36 miesięcy.<br />
Rozpoczął się generalny remont hangaru<br />
technicznego. Prace mają się zakończyć<br />
najpóźniej w marcu 2011 roku.<br />

Irlandzka towarowa linia lotnicza Air Contractors,<br />
na zlecenie amerykańskiej firmy kurierskiej<br />
Federal Express (FedEx), uruchomiła<br />
nowe połączenie cargo z <strong>Katowice</strong> <strong>Airport</strong>.<br />
Loty na trasie Pyrzowice–Paryż–Frankfurt–<br />
–Pyrzowice realizowane są od poniedziałku<br />
do czwartku.<br />
Zainaugurowano połączenie czarterowe<br />
<strong>Katowice</strong>–Mombasa. Loty do Kenii, aż do<br />
końca stycznia 2011 roku, będą odbywać się<br />
raz w tygodniu.<br />

Łącznie w 2010 roku odprawiono w MPL<br />
<strong>Katowice</strong> ok. 2,4 mln pasażerów. To 1,6%<br />
wzrost w stosunku do poprzednich dwunastu<br />
miesięcy. W tej liczbie prawie 695 tys.<br />
stanowią pasażerowie lotów czarterowych<br />
– było ich o 15% więcej niż w analogicznym<br />

In the first weekend of September, owing to<br />
work taking place on the intersection of the<br />
runways at Fryderyk Chopin <strong>Airport</strong> in Warsaw,<br />
33 additional flights, rerouted from the<br />
capital, were accepted by <strong>Katowice</strong> <strong>Airport</strong>.<br />
These included transatlantic flights.<br />
OCtOBer<br />
The President of the Civil Aviation Office<br />
extended the Certificate of Public Use issued<br />
to <strong>Katowice</strong> <strong>Airport</strong> in Pyrzowice, which<br />
is under the administration of the Upper<br />
Silesian Aviation Group. The certificate was<br />
granted for the maximum time-period of 36<br />
months.<br />
Work began on the comprehensive renovation<br />
of the aircraft maintenance hangar.<br />
The project is planned to be completed by<br />
March 2011 at the very latest.<br />

Irish all-cargo airline, Air Contractors, in<br />
agreement with Federal Express,, launched<br />
a new air freight connection from <strong>Katowice</strong><br />
<strong>Airport</strong>. Flights on Pyrzowice–Paris–Frankfurt–Pyrzowice<br />
route operate from Monday<br />
to Thursday.<br />
The <strong>Katowice</strong> – Mombasa charter connection<br />
was inaugurated. Flights to Kenya will<br />
take place once a week until the end of<br />
January 2011.<br />

Overall, in 2010, 2.4 million passengers used<br />
<strong>Katowice</strong> <strong>Airport</strong>. That signifies an increase<br />
of 1.6% in comparison to the previous twelve<br />
months. Of these, almost 695 thousand<br />
were charter passengers – 15% more than in<br />
the corresponding time period in 2009.<br />
