The average refugee in Kenya, Lncluding the Ugandan
refugee, arrives in generally'good health and with relatively
few nutritional problems or demands. Food, medical assis­
tance, and personal care materials are all available at a
cost in Kenya, so life maintenance becomes a matter of sub­
