5-8 Using Analog I/O with Direct Connection<br />

The <strong>Module</strong> Properties window will open.<br />

3. Enter the following parameters:<br />

Name <strong>FLEX</strong>_Analog_Output<br />

Slot 3<br />

Comm Format Output Data (1)<br />

Electronic Keying Compatible <strong>Module</strong><br />

All analog Comm Formats use direct connection. The default here is Output Data.<br />

4. Click on the Next button. The following page will open:<br />

5. This window allows you to adjust the Requested Packet Interval<br />

(RPI) to meet your system’s requirements. For this example you<br />

can leave it at the default 50ms rate shown above. This RPI will be<br />

used for the direct connection to this analog module. The other<br />

analog module will communicate at the RPI selected for its<br />

connection. The two rack connected digital I/O modules will<br />

continue to communicate at the RPI of their rack connection.
