Regional Gathering: Puerto Rico
Optimizing my stay in San Juan, P.R. thanks to the support of the Fellowship
of the Least Coin, we had two encounters with Puerto Rico PMJG sisters.
The first was a lunch-meeting by the invitation of 5 prominent country leaders
where we engaged in a pleasant dialogue on new directions for the new CLAI
context and how this affects the participation of the PMJG in the country, as
well as to share concerns and challenges of PMJG to the country and the
continent.
The second meeting was held on September 11 during a dinner meeting
sponsored by CLAI and with the presence of more than 20 churches and
agencies that make up the PMJG in Puerto Rico. It was eminently a moment
to know us and share work, dreams and celebrations.
Regional Gathering: “Stengthening our networks”
September 12 to 13, were the
dates for the regional meeting of
the Caribbean and great Colombia
PMJG in the city of Santo Domingo,
Dominican Republic, convened
under the theme “Strengthening
our networks”, with the
participation of the coordinators
of the PMJG five countries that
make up the region.
The main focus was on the analysis
of the national socio-political and
religious diversity of the countries
of the region, as well as the reconstruction of the historical memory of the
PMJG.
