STAKEHOLDER CONSULTATION REPORT
Please explain how you decided that the above organisations/ individuals are relevant stakeholders
to your project. Also, please discuss how your invitation methods seek to include a broad range of
stakeholders (e.g. gender, age, ethnicity).
The project is to install biogas plants at individual household level. The biogas plant will create
sanitation, free time to women and children and good organic fertiliser to increase soil fertility. The
generated biogas will be used for cooking and replace traditional wood fuel cook stove. Hence the
forest, health, agriculture, education, child and women development, departments of the
Government are the relevant stake holders. Participating households and elected peoples
representatives are the main stake holders. As this projects deal with overall development of rural
areas the local NGOs, National level NGOs and Gold Standard Foundation supporting NGOs are
also the relevant stakeholders. As the project is going for CDM and Gold Standard Foundation
accreditations the foundation local representatives and local DNA/CDM authority were also invited.
Village level meetings:
When the baseline surveys were under way the survey team members conducted meetings on
village level to explain the villagers about the LSC meeting and invited them to participate in the
meeting. Through the Village level meetings, people where addressed personally and it was
assured that also illiterate people or people with no access to computers or newspapers were
reached. During this course of time many women self help groups were also contacted by the
survey team members. This process happened in the following villages where the baseline surveys
were conducted:
