The organization won the 2007 International Ashden Award for Sustainable Energy under food security category, 2008 Tech Museum award under Equality category and EI award of Energy Institute, London under the environment category. SKG Sangha has formulated a project, “Gulbarga Biogas project” meant for the rural areas of all the taluks of Bidar, Gulbarga and Yadgir districts as a CPA of Programme of Activities under CDM. This project will receive major portion of financial assistance from Carbon Markets because of its certification through Gold Standard. This is important to collect local stakeholder comments on this project under Gold Standard. Already comments from local stakeholders, prominent persons and NGOs were collected. Final stakeholder consultation meeting will be held at Rangamandira, Department of Kannada and Culture, Government of Karnataka, situated in Bidar Town on 15 th September, 2011 at 11-00 AM to collect comments from local stakeholders. We invite you to attend the meeting. Your advice and directions are important to us. We are enclosing non technical summery and agenda of the meeting. The first CPA is “Gulbarga Biogas Project”. The PoA will have additional accreditation from Gold Standard Foundation apart from the UNFCCC, CDM. We are organizing final Stake holder meeting on 15-9-2011 at Kannada and Culture Department, Government of Karnataka, ‘Rangamandira’ hall in Bidar town at 11AM.
