SKG Sangha has decided to implement Gold Standard certified CDM PoA biogas project in<br />

all the Taluks of Bidar, Gulbarga and Yadgir Districts. Major share of the unit cost will be met<br />

through the revenue from clean development mechanism, Government of India Subsidy and a small<br />

portion of the unit cost will be expected from the beneficiaries in the form of locally available<br />

material and physical labour.<br />

From this project beneficiaries will get biogas units which will produce biogas needed to<br />

burn a stove 4 to 6 hours a day. The biogas burner will replace the traditional cook stove.<br />

Benefits from this project:<br />

1) Smokeless kitchen, 2) saving of time from collection of fuel wood and saving of cooking<br />

time, 3) Sanitation through proper management of organic waste, 4) Soil fertility and yield increase<br />

by application of biogas spent slurry to the agriculture lands and many more.<br />

This meeting is arranged to collect stakeholder comments on this project.<br />
