Gulbarga Biogas Project (CPA) under Biodigester Programme of Activity (PoA) SKG Sangha India, GOLD STANDARD LOCAL STAKEHOLDER CONSULTATION REPORT English translated version of the Public invitation (poster) is given below: INVITATION (POSTER) GULBARGA BIOGAS PROJECT CDM PoA and GOLD STANDARD PROJECT LOCAL STAKEHOLDER CONSULTATION MEETING PLACE: Rangamandira, Bidar town DATE: 15-9-2011 TIME: 11 AM TO 1 PM PROJECT: SKG Sangha has decided to implement Gold Standard certified CDM PoA biogas project in all the Taluks of Bidar, Gulbarga and Yadgir Districts. Major share of the unit cost will be met through the revenue from clean development mechanism, Government of India Subsidy and a small portion of the unit cost will be expected from the beneficiaries in the form of locally available material and physical labour. From this project beneficiaries will get biogas units which will produce biogas needed to burn a stove 4 to 6 hours a day. The biogas burner will replace the traditional cook stove. Benefits from this project: 1) Smokeless kitchen, 2) saving of time from collection of fuel wood and saving of cooking time, 3) Sanitation through proper management of organic waste, 4) Soil fertility and yield increase by application of biogas spent slurry to the agriculture lands and many more. This meeting is arranged to collect stakeholder comments on this project.
