F.3 Requirements for “Declaration of Compatibility – Generator (Operating)”<br />

The compatibility of generation (operating) describes conditions that must be satisfied before the PG’s facility can<br />

be connected to commercially generate electricity<br />

The Generator shall design, construct, own, <strong>and</strong> maintain the Customer’s Facilities.<br />

1. Executed Interconnection Agreement<br />

2. <strong>BC</strong> <strong>Hydro</strong> has reviewed the Generator’s proposed facilities to confirm compliance with <strong>BC</strong> <strong>Hydro</strong>’s technical<br />

requirements for generator operation.<br />

3. Accepted by Real Time Operations, <strong>BC</strong>TC, for energization for generator operation.<br />

Field Verification<br />

1. Protective Relay Coordination confirmed.<br />

2. Revenue Metering Installation completed <strong>and</strong> checked. Attach <strong>BC</strong> <strong>Hydro</strong> Metering Checklist.<br />

3. Distribution Operating Order (DOO) approved by <strong>BC</strong> <strong>Hydro</strong> <strong>and</strong> Generator. Generator <strong>and</strong> Control Centre have<br />

copies.<br />

4. Completed the Power Parameter Information System (PPIS) requirements before the generator’s 72-hour<br />

continuous test.<br />

5. Electrical Inspection Approval attached (provided by <strong>BC</strong> Safety Authority or by an independent Professional<br />

Engineer registered in <strong>BC</strong>).<br />

6. Professional Engineer’s declaration(s) that the Generator’s Facilities have been designed, constructed, <strong>and</strong><br />

tested to a state suitable for operation as generator in accordance with applicable st<strong>and</strong>ards <strong>and</strong> prudent electrical<br />

utility practices.<br />

7. <strong>BC</strong> <strong>Hydro</strong> facilities ready.<br />

8. Telemetry requirements complete.<br />

9. <strong>BC</strong>TC Operations approval to energize for generator commissioning received.<br />

10. WECC tests complete (synchronous generators 10 MVA <strong>and</strong> up)<br />

11. Continuous 72-hour commissioning test successfully completed.<br />

Provide explanation if “No” has been checked for any item above.<br />

The undersigned do hereby declare that the Generator’s Substation is compatible for interconnection with the <strong>BC</strong> <strong>Hydro</strong><br />

system for the purpose of generator operation.<br />
