Straight Stitch<br />

q Stitch pattern: 00 or 01<br />

w Needle thread tension: 2 to 6<br />

For seaming garments, zipper application and more.<br />

Pattern 01 is used for seaming fine fabrics.<br />

Lock-a-Matic Stitch<br />

q Stitch pattern: 02<br />

w Needle thread tension: 2 to 6<br />

e Presser foot: Zigzag foot A<br />

r Reverse button<br />

Use this stitch to secure the beginning and the end of a<br />

seam with backstitching.<br />

When you reach the end of the seam, press the reverse<br />

stitch button r once. The machine will sew four reverse<br />

stitches, four forward stitches, and then stop sewing<br />

automatically.<br />

Locking Stitch<br />

q Stitch pattern: 03<br />

w Needle thread tension: 2 to 6<br />

e Presser foot: Zigzag foot A<br />

r Reverse button<br />

This unique stitch is used where an invisible locking<br />

stitch is needed.<br />

Lower the needle close to the front edge of the fabric.<br />

The machine will sew several locking stitches in place<br />

and continue sewing forward.<br />

When you press the reverse stitch button r at the end of<br />

the seam, the machine will sew several locking stitches<br />

in place, then stop sewing automatically.<br />

Triple Stretch Stitch<br />

q Stitch pattern: 04<br />

w Needle thread tension: 2 to 6<br />

e Presser foot: Zigzag foot A<br />

This strong, durable stitch is recommended when both<br />

elasticity and strength are necessary in order to insure<br />

comfort and durability. Use it to reinforce areas such as<br />

crotch and armhole seams. Also use for extra<br />

reinforcement when constructing items such as<br />

backpacks.
