3.9.1.4.1. Advises the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) of<br />

all substantive changes to AU educational programs for the purpose of assessing<br />

the need to reaffirm the institution‘s accreditation status.<br />

3.9.1.5. Advertises eligibility, enrollment, academic, and graduation criteria for<br />

resident and non-resident programs for each level of DE in AU catalogs, and ETCAs<br />

located at https://etca.randolph.af.mil. Ensures students meet resident and nonresident<br />

eligibility requirements.<br />

3.9.1.6. Completes training reports for officers and transcripts for civilians upon<br />

graduation from ASBC, SOS, ACSC, AWC, AF Fellowships, and AF Intern Program<br />

as required. Provides administrative control of all Interns and Fellows to include<br />

responsibility for leave and TDY management (may be delegated to local program<br />

workplace supervisors); ensures rotational LOEs are completed; hosts the AF<br />

Fellows/Intern Orientation at programs‘ start; and acts as liaison with host<br />

organizations to ensure understanding of roles/responsibilities.<br />

3.9.1.7. Recommends to AF/A1D the level (BDE, PDE, IDE, or SDE) of officer DE<br />

credit awarded for comparable resident course work completed at other institutions to<br />

include sister service and foreign PME schools.<br />

3.9.1.8. Acts as the waiver-approval authority for all AF DL PME completion<br />

restrictions and limitations.<br />

3.9.1.9. Periodically conducts re-certification reviews of international PME programs<br />

in accordance with this Instruction on recertification of international PME programs<br />

(Attachment 8).<br />

3.9.1.10. Assists AF/A1D with biennial review of AF Fellowships by providing<br />

objectives and evaluations of current fellowships, participant feedback,<br />

recommendations for continuance or non-continuance of fellowships and other<br />

supporting documentation as needed.<br />

3.9.1.11. AU Registrar maintains course completion data for AU PME programs;<br />

updates DE completion data for <strong>Air</strong> <strong>Force</strong> officers; maintains AU student records and<br />

transcript data; issues AU diplomas and transcripts; publishes/maintains AU<br />

Academic Year catalog; corrects invalid, missing, or erroneously updated DE<br />

information; updates foreign, joint, fellows, and other Service school officer DE. For<br />

AWC only, Guard and Reserve officers must submit verification to their servicing<br />

points credit branch in order to receive point credit.<br />

3.9.1.12. AU A4/6 develops, publishes and distributes distance learning courses and<br />

examinations. Also responsible for publishing and maintaining AU A4/6 (formerly<br />

<strong>AFI</strong>ADL) catalog.<br />

3.9.1.13. AU tracks DE and PME production for AF/A1D, to include non-AU<br />

schools (JFSC, Foreign, etc).<br />

3.9.1.14. Administers and employs the Barnes Center, EPME, Academic Affairs to:<br />

3.9.1.14.1. Develop EPME curricula and program procedures, evaluation and<br />

survey requirements; conduct analysis, faculty development and training; and<br />

manage curricula requirements in accordance with the ISD process.
