3.3.4. Allocates <strong>Air</strong> <strong>Force</strong> active duty and civilian resident DE quotas to AFPC and<br />

AF/DPO; allocates <strong>Air</strong> <strong>Force</strong> Reserve quotas to US <strong>Air</strong> <strong>Force</strong> Reserve (AF/RE); and<br />

allocates <strong>Air</strong> National Guard quotas to <strong>Air</strong> National Guard Readiness Center<br />

(NGB/A1DL).<br />

3.3.5. Allocates <strong>Air</strong> <strong>Force</strong> officer and enlisted PME quotas to the other Services, the<br />

Deputy Under Secretary of the <strong>Air</strong> <strong>Force</strong> for International Affairs (SAF/IA), and<br />

appropriate governmental agencies.<br />

3.3.6. Approves any increase or decrease to PME resident schools annual production<br />

capability. (Exception: MAJCOMs may authorize increase/decrease in production to<br />

ALS to accommodate MAJCOM EPME production requirements.)<br />

3.3.7. Serves as the <strong>Air</strong> <strong>Force</strong> point of contact/liaison to the JCS/J-7for Joint PME<br />

(JPME) issues.<br />

3.3.8. Serves as the Strategic Policy Intern Support Office by coordinating Intern<br />

rotations with HAF, Joint Staff and OSD organizations.<br />

3.3.9. Ensures a biennial review is conducted of all AF Fellowships and submits a final<br />

list to the AF/A1 for consideration.<br />

3.3.10. Ensures CSAF DE opportunity rate guidance is followed for active duty LAF<br />

officers.<br />

3.3.11. Acts as the waiver-approval authority for eligibility for non-resident PME<br />

programs.<br />

3.4. <strong>Air</strong> <strong>Force</strong> Colonels Management (AF/DPO)<br />

3.4.1. Implements <strong>Air</strong> <strong>Force</strong> guidance on DE eligibility, selection, and removal for active<br />

duty line and non-line colonels and colonel-selects.<br />

3.4.2. Ensures line colonels (and selects) that have potential to be in key leadership<br />

positions are selected to attend resident Senior DE (SDE) programs.<br />

3.4.3. Responsible for the line and non-line colonel (and selects) portion of the annual<br />

SDE selection/designation board to include working with AFPC to staff the results<br />

through AF/A1 for approval and release to the field.<br />

3.4.4. Approves/disapproves colonels (and selects) for the following actions: individual<br />

declinations, requests for operational or humanitarian deferment, and removal from the<br />

select list.<br />

3.4.4.1. Manages outplacement of all colonels (and selects) currently attending SDE.<br />

Coordinates with AFPC to manage out placement for all resident programs.<br />

3.5. <strong>Air</strong> <strong>Force</strong> Chiefs Group (AF/DPE)<br />

3.5.1. Coordinates with AF/A1DLE to project future CMSgt Leadership Course (CLC)<br />

quotas based on projected promotions, supplemental promotions, and previous-year CLC<br />

deferments.<br />

3.5.2. Ensures CMSgts (and selects) are scheduled to attend the CLC within the first year<br />

of promotion selection (or subsequent year if deferred).
