Refreshments<br />
The referees allow players to take refreshments during time-outs or during a<br />
stoppage in <strong>the</strong> match, but only outside <strong>the</strong> pitch, so that it does not be<strong>com</strong>e<br />
wet. It is not permitted to throw bags containing liquids or any o<strong>the</strong>r receptacle<br />
containing liquid on to <strong>the</strong> pitch.<br />
Players sent <strong>of</strong>f<br />
LAW 3 – THE NUMBER OF PLAYERS<br />
• If a player who <strong>com</strong>mits an infringement is sent <strong>of</strong>f for a second caution or<br />
directly after <strong>the</strong> advantage has been applied and his team concedes a goal<br />
after <strong>the</strong> application <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> advantage before he is sent <strong>of</strong>f, <strong>the</strong> number<br />
<strong>of</strong> players in his team is not reduced, as <strong>the</strong> infringement was <strong>com</strong>mitted<br />
before <strong>the</strong> goal was scored<br />
• if, during <strong>the</strong> interval or before <strong>the</strong> start <strong>of</strong> one <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> periods <strong>of</strong> extra time,<br />
a player <strong>com</strong>mits a sending-<strong>of</strong>f <strong>of</strong>fence, his team starts <strong>the</strong> next half or<br />
period <strong>of</strong> extra time with one player fewer<br />
