26 Cambus O , May Forest Walks A variety of short forest tracks for walkers of all abilities, including site interpretation about the forest and wildlife. Take the disabled access trail to discover the two Lochans and go in search of dragons.flies. DIRECTIONS By bus Stagecoach Bluebird bus 201 to Ballater By car From Ballater, take the A93 east. DIRECTIONS By car 3 miles north of Oldmeldrum, off A947 after Meldrum House Hotel. The site is accessible via the C187 turn off from the A947 Oldmeldrum to Turriff road 2 miles north of Oldmeldrum. Formartine & Buchan Way The Formantine and Buchan Way is a 54 mile off-road route linking Dyce with Ellon and Maud at which point it splits into two lines, leading to Fraserburgh and Peterhead. The route which also acts as an all year round wildlife corridor, uses the trackbed of a former railway line to go through rolling farmland. The nature of the Way makes it an ideal recreational route between the various towns and villages located along its length. Most sections are also suitable for horseriding, cycling and all terrain pushchairs.
