Kildrummy Castle<br />
Although ru<strong>in</strong>ed, Kildrummy rema<strong>in</strong>s a f<strong>in</strong>e example of a 13th<br />
century castle, majestically set <strong>in</strong> the wilds of Strathdon.<br />
Below the castle are the separately run castle gardens with a<br />
wide variety of plants <strong>and</strong> four ponds.<br />

Lighthouse<br />
K<strong>in</strong>naird Head Castle Lighthouse was the first lighthouse<br />
built by the Commissioners of Nothern Lighthouses. It is still<br />
<strong>in</strong> work<strong>in</strong>g order <strong>and</strong> is the home of the museum of Scottish<br />
Lighthouses. There are activities for young people <strong>and</strong><br />
educational resources available for school visits.<br />
