Forvie National<br />

Nature Reserve<br />

The dunes on this part of the coast are an <strong>in</strong>ternationally<br />

important site for birds. In spr<strong>in</strong>g you can see the largest<br />

colony of eider ducks <strong>in</strong> the UK. There are good walks<br />

through the coastal heath <strong>and</strong> mobile s<strong>and</strong> dunes. The<br />

Visitor Centre has natural objects to touch, floor jigsaws<br />

<strong>and</strong> <strong>in</strong>formation ab<strong>out</strong> the <strong>area</strong>. Other facilities at the visitor<br />

centre <strong>in</strong>clude a purpose built classroom, which can be used<br />

to accommodate group book<strong>in</strong>gs <strong>and</strong> educational visits. For<br />

further details please contact the reserve staff.<br />

Collieston villages.<br />

there is allocated park<strong>in</strong>g, an<br />

800 metre easy access trail,<br />

with wheelchair accessible<br />

picnic tables <strong>and</strong> toilet<br />

facilities at the Visitor Centre<br />
