Old Deeside Railway L<strong>in</strong>e -<br />

Peterculter to Banchory <strong>and</strong><br />

Aboyne to Ballater Sections<br />

The Deeside Way leaves <strong>Aberdeen</strong> along what is the bed of<br />

the old Deeside railway l<strong>in</strong>e some 16 miles to Banchory. For<br />

much of the way the r<strong>out</strong>e runs close to the River Dee. There is<br />

a gap between Banchory <strong>and</strong> Aboyne before a further section<br />

takes you along more of the renowned Deeside countryside<br />

between Aboyne <strong>and</strong> Ballater.<br />

The North Deeside Road is never very far away from the path<br />

<strong>and</strong> the excellent bus l<strong>in</strong>ks between the towns on the r<strong>out</strong>e<br />

<strong>and</strong> city of <strong>Aberdeen</strong>.<br />
