Balmedie Country Park<br />
The s<strong>and</strong> dunes here stretch 14 miles from <strong>Aberdeen</strong> to just<br />
north of the m<strong>out</strong>h of the River Ythan at Newburgh. A great<br />
place to fly a kite, play hide <strong>and</strong> seek, build s<strong>and</strong> castles or run<br />
freely on the beach.<br />
In recent years the s<strong>and</strong>y beach has won the Seaside Award.<br />
