Essex members enjoyed a lovely drive<br />
from Hatfield Wick Farm, Terling by kind<br />
permission of Paul and Joy Foyle of Ostler<br />
Carriages. The route included a river crossing<br />
so we all had to raise our feet, apart from Wes<br />
McDermott who got just a little wet<br />
persuading his pony that this was a good<br />
idea! Paul and Joy made us most welcome<br />
on our return with plenty to eat and drink.<br />
If Joy promises to make some more of her<br />
delicious cream scones we’ll be back again<br />
soon!<br />
Our area show on 28th June exceeded all<br />
my expectations. The weather and the<br />
venue, Ashfields Carriage Centre were<br />
superb, Mr. Terry Chambers, the owner,<br />

money. Many thanks to all at Ashfields,<br />
my small overworked team of helpers<br />
and especially to everyone who came<br />
along and supported my first area show.<br />
We had a very enjoyable May <strong>Show</strong> with<br />
over 20 turnouts from all over the country.<br />
It was a lovely day, weather was perfect and<br />
we hope everyone both competing and<br />
spectating enjoyed the day. Thanks go to<br />
Trevor Teague for taking over the judging at<br />
the last minute when the judge who had been<br />
booked was unwell and the Phillips family<br />
for their continued support by providing<br />
us with a superb venue. We were delighted<br />
to get some lovely letters<br />
thanking us for a lovely day.<br />

and it was good to see one of<br />
our members, Ellena Ingles<br />
winning the Junior Whip.<br />
