one has been worshiping him. Will we escape
judgment if we refuse to take a mark but then
go on living our lives according to the ways of
the beast? Of course not. Rather than being
so concerned about the mark, we should be
concerned about how we may be serving the
ways of the beast.
The mark of the beast is probably far more
subtle than many have been led to believe, just
as the mark of God is not literal, but spiritual.
Even if the beast’s mark is literal, the only way
that we will not take it is to have the mark of
God’s bondservants. This is the reason why
the events of these times have been restrained
by the four angels who are holding back the
winds. God is right now marking those who
are true bondservants.
the Yoke of the beast
Debt is probably the main reason why
Christians today are not free to respond to
the call of God in their lives. When there is a
call to do anything, from entering the full-time
ministry to going on a mission trip, if our main
consideration is whether we can afford it, it
is an indication that our financial condition
rules us more than the will of God does. It is
a revelation of just how much we have built
our lives upon the foundations of this present
age, rather than hearing and obeying the Word
of the Lord.
