POWDER METALLURGY<br />

<strong>GKN</strong> S<strong>in</strong>ter Metals is the world’s largest manufacturer of<br />

s<strong>in</strong>tered components. It uses powdered metals to manufacture<br />

precision automotive components for eng<strong>in</strong>es, transmissions,<br />

and body and chassis applications.<br />

It also produces a range of components for <strong>in</strong>dustrial and<br />

consumer applications, <strong>in</strong>clud<strong>in</strong>g power tools, bear<strong>in</strong>gs,<br />

white goods and garden equipment.<br />

Hoeganaes produces metal powders, largely ferrous based,<br />

used <strong>in</strong> the manufacture of s<strong>in</strong>tered components.<br />
