I have travelled on a snow bridge up the valley in July ;
but higher up there were only large patches of snow and
the summit was quite bare. Demavand has its crater
filled with snow for the same reason. In Khorasan at an
altitude of 9000 feet
large patches of snow last
occasionally
through the summer, but to the best of my knowledge no
eternal snow, in the sense of a permanent snow-line, is to
be found anywhere in Persia.
