Fey Friend (Ex): You<br />

dealing with non-evil fey.<br />

Clear Mind (Ex): The<br />

experience <strong>of</strong> close<br />

mental contact with the<br />

Pixie Queen strengthens<br />

your mind. You gain a +4<br />

bonus to all saves against<br />

enchantment, illusion and<br />

mind influencing magic,<br />

as well as against fear<br />

effects from any source.<br />

At 5 th level, this bonus<br />

increases to +8.<br />

Detect Evil (Su): You<br />

can detect evil in the<br />

same manner as a<br />

paladin. Further, if the<br />

source <strong>of</strong> evil is <strong>of</strong> the fey<br />

type, or an item strongly<br />

associated with the fey,<br />

you will also know this<br />

during the first round <strong>of</strong><br />

concentration. This ability<br />

tends to quickly alert you<br />

to unseelie involvement.<br />

Fey Blood (Su): Your soul becomes more<br />

The Seelie Court<br />

The Seelie Court is a<br />

benevolent collection <strong>of</strong><br />

fairies and other fey that<br />

desire to exist peacefully<br />

along with the mortal world.<br />

As fey, they are<br />

strongly associated with<br />

nature, as well as the<br />

supernatural. They are<br />

<strong>of</strong>ten found in natural<br />

settings <strong>of</strong> special value,<br />

such as secluded glens or<br />

ancient forests. Sometimes<br />

they are associated with<br />

ancient barrow mounds.<br />

The actual homes <strong>of</strong> the<br />

members <strong>of</strong> the court may<br />

be hidden within these<br />

areas. Or they may actually<br />

live in a completely separate<br />

plane or pocket dimension,<br />

which can only be accessed<br />

through entrances at these<br />

locations.<br />

Virtually any <strong>of</strong> the fey<br />

presented in the MM may be<br />

found amongst the Seelie<br />

Court. Many other types <strong>of</strong><br />

fey may also be<br />

represented.<br />

While the fey <strong>of</strong> the<br />

Seelie Court are generally <strong>of</strong><br />

good intentions, they <strong>of</strong>ten<br />

exhibit some <strong>of</strong> the worst<br />

attributes <strong>of</strong> mankind. Pride,<br />

vanity and lust are the flaws<br />

most commonly associated<br />

with them.<br />

Crafting one arrow requires an hour and a Craft:<br />

Bowmaking check DC:20. The arrow may be<br />

crafted as a masterwork arrow first if desired, but<br />

the extra hour and skill check are still required. A<br />

failed check to make a sleep arrow does not harm<br />

the arrow. Only one attempt may be made per<br />

day. Sleep arrows revert to normal after ten days<br />

if not used, or if used by a non-fey creature other<br />

than you.<br />

Sleep arrows turn to dust on impact (even if<br />

they miss) and deal no damage. However, the<br />

target, regardless <strong>of</strong> Hit Dice, must make a<br />

Fortitude save (DC 15) or be affected as though by<br />

a sleep spell.<br />

Court Intrigue: Your presence begins to<br />

attract a significant level <strong>of</strong> scrutiny from other<br />

members <strong>of</strong> the court.<br />

At least once per month, you must make a<br />

Diplomacy check against a DC <strong>of</strong> 20 plus your<br />

seelie knight class level. A successful Sense<br />

Motive check against the same DC provides a +2<br />

bonus to the check. If you fail the skill check, you<br />

have lost standing within the court.<br />

You may regain your lost standing by<br />

performing a special quest or favor for the Pixie<br />

Queen. The exact details <strong>of</strong> the quest are up to<br />

the DM, but should include the defeat <strong>of</strong> an<br />

appropriately challenging unseelie opponent,<br />

either in direct combat, or in some sort <strong>of</strong><br />

competition or mental challenge. Until the service<br />

is complete, you lose any benefits from the Fey<br />

Friend, Clear Mind and Fey Mind abilities. Further,<br />

a seelie knight in disfavor may not advance to a<br />

higher level in the class.<br />

If the check is made by ten or more, you have<br />

actually enhanced your favor within the court. You<br />

gain a +4 bonus to any one Charisma or Charisma<br />

based skill check within the next two weeks.<br />

In all cases, at least one court intrigue check<br />
