<strong>Ryde</strong> Flora <strong>and</strong> Fauna Survey <strong>2007</strong> 11<br />
incorporated into the reserve. There are several well-formed but unsealed walking<br />
tracks throughout the reserve <strong>and</strong> these are used regularly. The Sydney Nature Walk<br />
track also passes through this reserve.<br />
Various woodl<strong>and</strong> types occur across the reserve including Scribbly Gum woodl<strong>and</strong>,<br />
Turpentine-Ironbark Forest <strong>and</strong> mixed woodl<strong>and</strong>; the gullies contain mesic plants<br />
such as Coachwood (Ceratopetalum apetalum), Callicoma (Callicoma serratifolia)<br />
<strong>and</strong> ferns. The lower section <strong>of</strong> Buffalo Creek is brackish <strong>and</strong> it is here that saltmarsh<br />
<strong>and</strong> mangrove areas are present.<br />
