CENTENNIAL FAIR
SASKATOON FORESTRY FARM
PARK & ZOO
Take a step back in time on Sunday, May 26 with the
Forestry Farm Centennial Committee to celebrate the
100th anniversary of the Sutherland Forest Nursery Station.
It all began 100 years ago with a tree nursery!
Established in 1913, the Nursery Station researched
and produced trees adapted for growth in the prairie
climate. Today, the Saskatoon Forestry Farm Park & Zoo
is a National Historic Site boasting numerous attractions
including restored heritage buildings, carefully-crafted
gardens and Saskatchewan’s only CAZA accredited zoo.
Join in fun and games at the Forestry Farm Park with
an afternoon full of entertainment, wagon rides, artisans,
historical demonstrations and old-fashioned games and
contests.
The Centennial Fair is open noon to 5 p.m. with a
commemorative ceremony at 2 p.m. and is free of charge
(standard Zoo and fishing fees apply).

in early June as the drivers and horses
from the World Professional Chuckwagon
Association make Marquis Downs a stop in
their 2013 race schedule.
