THE baRN playHOUSE
• KOLD Radio: Whitefish Bay
• Chaps
For the first show of its summer season, The Barn Playhouse
presents a zany romantic comedy set in a small town radio
station, KOLD Radio: Whitefish Bay, June 12 to 16 and June 19 to
23.
“KOLD Radio” broadcasts from the corner of a tiny café in
Whitefish Bay where fishing is a way of life. Sparks fly when Lars’
talk show about ice fishing loses all its sponsors to Martha’s talk
show about books. To make matters worse, the “fish-out-ofwater”
new owner from New York City fires Lars and promotes
Martha to Station Manager! It’s the beginning of a zany battle
with Lars fighting for his job, his dignity and Martha‘s affections!
“This comedy is totally silly, entertaining and refreshingly
unique! It really reels in the laughs!”
The Barn Playhouse’s second summer show is an hilarious
musical comedy, Chaps, running August 21 to 25 and August 28
to September 1.
This one is a rollicking good time, an old-fashioned variety
show with a twist! The year is 1944, and America’s favorite
singing cowboy Tex Riley and his troupe are late for a special
broadcast at the BBC in London. Out of sheer desperation, the
tour manager and the young producer grab whomever they can,
slap them into costume, hand them scripts and shove them in
front of the studio audience. The resulting performance is one
you will never forget! This hilarious romp brings new meaning to
“The Show Must Go On!”
