The perfect family adventure! Wanuskewin Heritage Park<br />

invites you to experience First Nations Cultures through, art, song,<br />

dance and cuisine.<br />

Inside our Interpretive Center, Wanuskewin is home to two<br />

art galleries, as well as fascinating interpretive exhibits. Choose<br />

from a number of interpretive programs, such as “Tipi Raising” or<br />

“First Nations Technology”. Our knowledgeable interpretive staff<br />

will explain the history and traditions, and why First Nations people<br />

have chosen to gather here for over 6000 years!<br />

Outside Wanuskewin offers four unique hiking trails that<br />

crisscross the Opimahaw Valley, featuring a sacred medicine wheel,<br />

a buffalo jump and some of the most scenic views on the prairies.<br />

Finish your day around a campfire, making bannock, then its time<br />

for bed inside your very own tipi! Our Tipi Sleepover programs are<br />

a great way to connect with friends & family.<br />

MEEwaSIN VallEy INTERpRETIVE CENTRE<br />

The Meewasin Valley Interpretive Centre, located along the scenic South Saskatchewan River, at the base of the Traffic Bridge,<br />

is an excellent starting point for your exploration of Saskatoon. The Centre focuses on human settlement in Saskatoon and the<br />

natural history of the South Saskatchewan River Valley.<br />

The Centre offers visitors interactive exhibits, self-guided tours and information about sites throughout the city. It features<br />

tours for groups on the Meewasin Trail, children’s programs throughout the summer and Sunday programs with a heritage focus.<br />

The Centre’s hour of operations are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday and from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekends and holidays.<br />
