<strong>Report</strong> of the Board of Management<br />
Trials with the pile upending and guidance tool for the installation of<br />
mono-pile foundations for wind turbines<br />
a record time of four months, and thirty mono-pile<br />
foundations for the Barrows offshore windfarm project<br />
were successfully installed with the tool in the second half<br />
of <strong>2005</strong>;<br />
• in conjunction with the basic design package for the four<br />
jack-up drilling rigs for Maersk Contractors, KeppelFels<br />
ordered from MSC the supply of four sets of the patented<br />
skidding and fixation systems for the jack-ups.<br />
<strong>Offshore</strong> Contracting and After Sales Services<br />
<strong>2005</strong> has been an extremely busy year with execution of a<br />
large variety of orders in all areas of activity including offshore<br />
contracting, system overhauls and spare part supplies.<br />
<strong>Offshore</strong> Contracting<br />
Both <strong>SBM</strong>’s ‘Dynamic Installer’ and the ‘Normand Progress’,<br />
under charter from Solstad until September <strong>2005</strong>, were fully<br />
occupied with installation work related to several of the<br />
turnkey supply and install contracts and a series of<br />
contracting jobs for third parties.<br />
The ‘in house’ work included:<br />
• hook-up of the Sanha LPG FPSO offshore Angola;<br />
• miscellaneous sub sea installation work in the Bonga field<br />
for Shell Nigeria;<br />

• installation of the CALM and CBM terminal for Trafigura,<br />
Tema, Ghana;<br />
• installation of a CALM type barge mooring for BMT Marine<br />
in the Mediterranean offshore France.<br />
The main ‘third party’ contracts covered:<br />
• sub sea pipeline repair work, and other saturation diving<br />
activities, for Total offshore Angola and Congo;<br />
• installation of sub sea spool pieces for ExxonMobil in the<br />
Yoho field, Nigeria;<br />
• deepwater installation works in relation to the deployment<br />
of an FPSO on the Baobab field operated by Canadian<br />
National Resources, Ivory Coast;<br />
• replacement of sub sea hoses at the Amenam terminal of<br />
Total, Nigeria;<br />
• installation of I-tubes on the Girassol FPSO for the tie-back<br />
of the Rosa field;<br />
• sub sea tie-back work to the FPSO of Vaalco offshore<br />
Gabon;<br />
• sub sea repair work for Marathon Equatorial Guinea at the<br />
Alba LPG terminal;<br />
• saturation diving works for the revamping of the Palanca<br />
terminal of Total, Angola;<br />
• provision of diving support for the FPSO installation at the<br />
Okwori field for Addax, Nigeria;<br />
• cable laying for ENI in the Djambala field offshore Congo.<br />
System Overhauls<br />
• overhaul of a CALM system for BMT Marine in France;<br />
• overhaul of the first disconnectable turret mooring<br />
supplied in 1985 to ACT for the mooring of the FPSO ‘Nan<br />
Hai Fa Xian’ offshore China;<br />
Tie-in of the floating hose string during the installation of a<br />
CALM terminal
