PICKING UP NEW VEHICLES
We’ll call you when each new vehicle is ready and schedule an appointment for your
driver to pick up the vehicle. All vehicle pick-ups and returns will take place at VEMA’s
head offi ce at 626 Henry Ave. in Winnipeg.
Insurance will be in effect on the date the vehicle is scheduled to be picked up.
RETURNING VEHICLES (other than Short-Term Rentals)
Drivers must deliver vehicles directly to VEMA's head offi ce at 626 Henry Ave. in
Winnipeg. We’ll do a visual inspection with the driver and ask him/her to sign off on
the inspection. Please call our Fleet Manager at 945-3303 to arrange an appointment
for the return of the vehicle.
DISPOSAL
Our goal in disposing of vehicles is to get the highest price possible for the vehicle within
a reasonable time period. Most of our vehicles are re-marketed through public auction.
We begin the auction process as soon as you return your vehicle. In order to improve
the chances of a higher resale value, we may recommend that you safety and
detail the vehicle depending on its condition, market demand, and age. Any costs
associated with re-marketing are deducted from the sale proceeds.
VEMA holds its auctions typically once per month. We also post information about
all vehicles slated for auction on our website at www.vema.gov.mb.ca. Everyone is
welcome to attend the auction and bid on our vehicles.
