should be a sensitive? We cannot serve God and mammon;<br />

ours is the choice. If we want spiritual powers we<br />

must pay the price of clean lives ; we must give our bodies<br />

pure food and conform to the rules of the simple life; we<br />

must abstain from everything that dulls the senses alco-<br />

hol, tobacco, and similar abuses. If that is called "a life<br />

of asceticism," then asceticism is absolutely necessary.<br />
