since 2009, with the section of invertebr<strong>at</strong>e zoology and hydrobiology of the<br />

Mds. At Mds she she is involved in stu<strong>di</strong>es on toxic resistance in Chironomus<br />

riparius (<strong>di</strong>ptera chironomidae) from an ecotossicological (toxicity tests) and<br />

genetic (gene expression analysis) point of view.<br />

Born in novara in 1977, she achieved a bachelor<br />

and a Ph.d. degree in university of<br />

Pavia (italy) on dragonflies ecology and<br />

conserv<strong>at</strong>ion. As expert odon<strong>at</strong>ologist, she<br />

co-authored, among other public<strong>at</strong>ions, the<br />

only two existing <strong>at</strong>las of italy (Atlante del<br />

Piemonte e Val d’Aosta, Atlante della Provincia<br />

<strong>di</strong> novara), and she deeply collabor<strong>at</strong>es<br />

with iucn on european and Me<strong>di</strong>terranean<br />

basin dragonflies red list assessing. in 2009<br />

she cofounded odon<strong>at</strong>a.it -the italian society<br />

of dragonfly study and conserv<strong>at</strong>ion of<br />

which she is the current president. in 2009-2010 she collabor<strong>at</strong>ed with Mds<br />

within projects on conserv<strong>at</strong>ion and document<strong>at</strong>ion of invertebr<strong>at</strong>e bio<strong>di</strong>versity<br />

in n<strong>at</strong>ura 2000 sites and on the <strong>di</strong>stribution of Aedes albopictus (tiger<br />

mosquito) in the Trento city.<br />

Technical assistant<br />

Born in Venice in 1967, she obtained a degree<br />

in Biological science <strong>at</strong> the university<br />

of Padua in hydrobiology and macroinvertebr<strong>at</strong>es.<br />

since 1993 she collabor<strong>at</strong>es with the<br />

section of invertebr<strong>at</strong>e zoology and hydrobiology<br />

of the Mds within projects on riparian<br />

zones of rivers, mountain streams and<br />

alpine lakes. she focused on riparian fauna<br />

(mainly coleoptera carbidae) and aqu<strong>at</strong>ic<br />

insects (mainly Plecoptera). she was teacher<br />

for the iBe quality index applic<strong>at</strong>ion (“Meto<strong>di</strong><br />

biologici pr<strong>at</strong>ici per il mappaggio <strong>di</strong> qualità<br />

dei corsi d’acqua: analisi comunità macroinvertebr<strong>at</strong>i”) and co-author of<br />

the iFF index “Applicazione dell’in<strong>di</strong>ce <strong>di</strong> Funzionalità Fluviale”. in 2008 she<br />

was technician <strong>at</strong> the environmental Agency of Trento in the chemical labor<strong>at</strong>ory.<br />

since 2009 she is the technical assistant of the section of invertebr<strong>at</strong>e<br />

zoology and hydrobiology of the Mds.<br />
