to five-flowered, lax, drooping; pedicels one-half to three-<br />
fourths of an inch long, very slender. Ovary short. Flowers<br />
one and a quarter of an inch in diameter across the spread-<br />
ing petals. Dorsal-sepals and Petals subequal, elliptic-<br />
lanceolate, acuminate, pale straw-coloured, blotched with<br />
brown-purple ; lateral sepals hidden under the lip, rather<br />
larger than the dorsal, united to the middle, pale greenish-<br />
yellow, obscurely speckled with brown. Lip nearly as<br />
large as the rest of the perianth; claw very short, pubescent ;<br />
lateral lobes small, triangular ; terminal one expanding into<br />
a broad undulate membranous reniform pale yellow blade ;<br />
basal crest cordiform with the two-lobed end pointing<br />
downwards, much elevated, smooth, dark purple and<br />
shining ; towards its base on each side is a narrow short<br />
linear crest. Column short, with a rounded wing on each<br />
side towards the top ; sides pubescent, as is the anther-<br />
