acquired by Barnes from Walter Hayte of Rochester, tailor (as<br />

granted by St. Bartholomew^ Hospital, Rochester <strong>to</strong> Hayte in<br />

1545) on land called <strong>The</strong> Key.<br />

Initialed by W. Barnes as above with two pendant seals on<br />

separate tapes one also initialled W.B.<br />

Deed witnessed by Thomas Maynent, Walter Portryffe and Miles<br />

Toughe. Seizin witnessed by Mathew Baker, Michael Gunson,<br />

Thomas Kennte and Henry Streckland 10 March 1582.<br />
