(ii) Ewgeny Gat<strong>to</strong>n of Mucking, Essex, gent.<br />

(iii) Sir John Hawkins of London, Kt. and his wife Dame<br />

Katheryn.<br />

(a) Recites Gat<strong>to</strong>n bound <strong>to</strong> Fen<strong>to</strong>n and Peterson in £1,200<br />

in trust for both Hawkins, by Statute Staple of same<br />

date.<br />

(b) Recites sale of Manor and Messes, etc. from Gat<strong>to</strong>n <strong>to</strong><br />

Hawkins by Feoffment dated 28/29 Feb. [1591].<br />

Condition that if Hawkins take possession of property in (b) then<br />

defeazance void and Fen<strong>to</strong>n and Peterson agree <strong>to</strong> make<br />

document over <strong>to</strong> Hawkins on request. Signed by Ewgeny<br />

Gat<strong>to</strong>n. Seal on tape (seal impression in form of classical gem.)<br />
